Physical therapy is an area of medicine that is most well known for helping individuals that are limited in their ability to move or perform functions of daily living.  Over time, physical therapy has been found to be helpful in many different areas.  Although many people utilize our services after an injury or pain has commenced, physical therapy has been found to be effective in helping to reduce the risk of injury, specifically in sports participation.  Physical therapy has also been found to be effective at reducing the need for medication and surgery.  Patient education is also important to ensure that progress achieved during physical therapy is maintained long after formal physical therapy services have come to an end.

We are located in the center of Westwood at 166 Fairview Avenue in Suite F.  We are the last unit at the far end of the building and are a little tucked away.  We have two designated parking spots for our clients that are marked.  If you are unable to park in the parking lot, there is ample street parking and the municipal lot is right next door.

Our practice is set up in order to maximize time between yourself and your physical therapist.  We only schedule one patient at a time within 45-60 minute slots.  Hands on treatment and exercise is provided by your therapist.  We do not simply believe in treating you for 15 minutes and then leaving you on your own to complete exercises.  We know your time is valuable and we want to make sure you have the opportunity to meet your expectations and goals with every session.  We truly believe every session together should count as we do not want to waste your time and money.

New Jersey is a Direct Access State for physical therapy services.  This means you DO NOT need a prescription to start physical therapy in most cases.  This provides patients with the option to get into our office as soon as possible without delaying your recovery.

In the event that a prescription is required, we will make sure you are aware prior to starting.

We know that physical therapy was probably not on the top of your list of things to participate in today.  We know that you may be coming in with pain, discomfort, fear, apprehension, and skepticism.  We are here to help and make sure that your experience is smooth and the best as possible.

When you call to set up your appointment, please have your insurance card available.  As a courtesy, we will verify your insurance benefits and make you aware of any financial responsibilities prior to coming in for your first session.  We know you don’t like financial surprises and neither do we.

We ask you complete all paperwork beforehand if possible.  Please dress comfortably and wear clothing that can help us access the affected area (t-shirt, shorts., sweats, sneakers)  Thank you for trusting us with your care and we look forward to working with you.

Your progress will be re-assessed at every session to ensure that physical therapy services are effective and necessary.  Your initial evaluation and monthly progress notes will be faxed to your referring physician.  Progress notes are typically completed once per month.

We know that you have plenty of options out there for your physical therapy services.  Thank you for taking the time to consider us. We are happy to submit claims to insurance companies that include but are not limited to Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield (Horizon, Anthem, Empire), United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, etc.  For inquires, please contact us and we will happy to verify your benefits and provide you with any financial responsibility prior to your first session.  In the event that you do not have insurance, we do offer competitive self pay rates.
